Job summary

Duke Raleigh Hospital, a campus of Duke University Health System, is seeking an experienced Hematology/Oncology Infusion RN for Macon Pond, Raleigh campus. The RN will provide and coordinate infusion therapies, collaborate with physicians and care teams, and ensure patient safety during treatments.

The ideal candidate has 12 months of oncology/hematology infusion experience, a BSN or higher, and active BLS.

Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (or higher) is required.
All RNs without a BSN must enroll in a BSN program within two years and complete within seven years of start date
Nurses with a valid compact license must obtain NC nursing license within 90 days of start date
BLS is required

Responsibilities

Plan, provide, supervise and document professional nursing care per physician orders and policies.
Use professional nursing judgment to tailor plans based on patient needs.
Delegate tasks and supervise other licensed and unlicensed staff.
Act as team leader or charge nurse for a group of patients or unit as assigned.
Monitor environment and equipment; ensure resources are available.
Pursue ongoing professional development and participate in learning offerings.
Serve as preceptor and support staff development and education.
Identify clinical or operational improvement opportunities and participate in initiatives.
Perform other duties related to the role.
