Job summary

Physicians East, P.A. in Greenville, NC, is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our multidisciplinary hematology and oncology team.

The APP will deliver on-site outpatient care, work with physicians, manage symptom control, chemotherapy and immunotherapy clearance visits, and participate in a shared call rotation. Qualifications

• Licensed as a PA-C or NP in North Carolina with DEA license.
• Minimum of three years post-graduate provider experience.
• Experience with EMR systems and Dragon dictation; strong documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with consults, new patients and daily visits.
• Assist with chemotherapy orders.
• Obtain complete medical history and physical data; review records; determine diagnostic and therapeutic procedures needed.
• Order laboratory and diagnostic procedures.
• Perform independent evaluations and treatment.
• Administer injections, immunizations, and oral medications.
• Prepare written prescription orders for drugs and controlled substances.
• Triage patient calls and provide consultation.
• Provide monitoring and continuity of care between physician visits.
• Attend meetings and participate in committees; engage in professional development.
