Job summary

Carolina Oncology Specialists in Hickory, NC, is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to deliver comprehensive hematology and oncology care in outpatient and inpatient settings under physician supervision.

The APP will assess patients, plan treatments, coordinate care, document and manage medications, and participate in inpatient rounds and after-hours coverage. Must hold NC NP/PA licensure and DEA registration, with oncology experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Current North Carolina NP/PA licensure and DEA registration.
• Oncology or hematology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive hematology and oncology care in outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Perform patient evaluations, develop treatment plans, and educate patients.
• Enter and review orders in Ankhos, ensure accurate coding and charge capture.
• Coordinate care with nursing, laboratory, scheduling, and other departments.
• Participate in inpatient rounding and after-hours call coverage.
