WellSpan Health is opening a brand-new hematology/oncology practice in Waynesboro, PA, offering a part-time position with a Wednesday–Friday schedule and onsite work. The Advanced Practice Professional will manage outpatient hematology/oncology care with support from an experienced physician.

The role emphasizes clinical autonomy, structured onboarding, and a collaborative team environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality care to adult patients in a growing service line.

Qualifications

• 1 year of work experience in hematology/oncology or related field.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously within a collaborative team.
• Board certification/licensure as NP or PA is required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient hematology/oncology care with a high degree of autonomy.
• Support clinic operations and patient management alongside an experienced physician.
• Participate in onboarding and gradual ramp-up with mentorship.

Job Title: Advanced Practice Professional – Hematology/Oncology

What You’ll Champion:

• Join a brand-new Hematology/Oncology practice opening in Waynesboro, offering the unique opportunity to help establish and grow a new service line from the ground up.
• Practice with a high degree of autonomy while working alongside an experienced Hematology/Oncology physician in a collaborative, supportive environment. The APP will play an integral role in patient management and clinic operations.
• Varied outpatient oncology and hematology responsibilities, including follow-up visits, hematology patient care, treatment preparation visits, triage, and oral chemotherapy education.
• Comprehensive onboarding and mentorship program, including structured education, shadowing opportunities, and a gradual ramp-up designed to support success in the specialty.
• Excellent work-life balance with a part-time schedule working Wednesday through Friday and no call responsibilities currently required.
• Manageable patient volumes, averaging approximately nine patients per day, allowing providers to deliver personalized, high-quality care to adult patients.
