Job summary

Novellis Health seeks a Hematology Nurse Practitioner in New York to deliver expert care to patients with benign and malignant blood disorders. You will perform assessments, develop treatment plans, and coordinate multidisciplinary care.

Under physician supervision, you will manage transfusions, iron infusions, and targeted therapies; prescribe medications and order labs/imaging; document in the EMR; and participate in case conferences.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited NP program; Master’s or Doctorate required.
Current NY NP license and national Adult/Family NP certification.
Minimum 2 years of NP experience in hematology/oncology or related field preferred.
Strong assessment, diagnostic reasoning, and communication skills; EMR proficient.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive assessments for benign and malignant hematology disorders.
Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans with hematologists and the care team.
Manage acute and chronic hematologic conditions under physician supervision.
Prescribe medications, order labs/imaging, and evaluate treatment response.
Coordinate longitudinal care for transfusions, iron infusions, and targeted therapies.
Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment options, medication management, and lifestyle.
Monitor for adverse events and therapy complications; address urgent issues.
Participate in hematology case conferences to optimize outcomes.
Maintain accurate, timely, compliant documentation in the EMR.
Contribute to quality improvement and staff education initiatives.
