Job summary

Accu Reference Medical Lab in Linden, NJ is seeking a Hematology Supervisor (night shift) to oversee nightly hematology operations on-site. You will manage staffing, workflow, quality control, and regulatory compliance while ensuring accurate test results.

You will train technologists, conduct competency assessments, monitor turnaround times, and coordinate with other departments to resolve issues, audits, and process improvements during night operations.

Qualifications

• Strong hematology laboratory experience including test performance, result interpretation, and quality control practices.
• Experience with laboratory instrumentation operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and validation of hematology analyzers.
• Knowledge of CLIA, CAP, and other regulatory requirements with a focus on compliance and documentation.
• Supervisory and leadership skills including staff scheduling, training, performance feedback, and conflict resolution.
• Proficiency with laboratory information systems and data entry, reporting, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee nightly hematology laboratory operations, including staffing and workflow, ensuring adherence to quality and safety protocols.
• Review and verify test results; troubleshoot instrumentation issues and sample handling.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory/ accreditation standards; support audits.
