Job summary
Allied Search Partners in Detroit, MI seeks a Full Time Medical Lab Scientist – Hematology. Under general supervision, you will perform quantitative and qualitative laboratory tests on patient specimens, analyze results and prepare samples for testing.
You will maintain accurate records, troubleshoot instrumentation, and collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure timely, reliable results for patient care. The role offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional development
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in medical technology or equivalent.
- Registered or registry eligible in accordance with an approved certifying agency within 12 months of hire.
Responsibilities
- Prepares and determines validity of solutions, reagents, media stains and various materials in the testing process.
- Processes and tests all types of laboratory specimens
- Reviews and reports lab results
- Performs operational duties
- Maintenance and advanced troubleshooting of laboratory instrumentation and equipment
- Acts as resource to other laboratory personnel.
