Job summary

K.A. Recruiting is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist / Medical Laboratory Technician in Michigan for a permanent, full-time direct hire. The role offers full benefits and bonus/relocation eligibility.

The incumbent will perform chemical, hematologic, serologic, immunohematologic, microscopic and microbiologic analyses, handle specimens, operate instrumentation, and ensure quality control and safety in daily lab work to support patient care.

Qualifications

• AS/BS degree in Medical Technology or related science.
• Board certification or eligibility by ASCP/ASMT/HEW (HHS) or equivalent.
• Performs high complexity testing as defined by CLIA 88.

Responsibilities

• Performs hematology and chemistry testing.
• Operate current instrumentation.
• Perform manual testing.
• Report STAT tests within 30–45 minutes of receipt.
• Ensure validity of daily test results and quality control.
• Maintain records of all quality control procedures.
• Train students and new personnel.
