in Biological Sciences (M.Sc. preferred) and one year of Medical Technology training, plus 1–2 years as Senior Charge Technologist and 3–4 years supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. in Biological Sciences (minimum 2nd division), M.Sc. preferred.
• At least 1–2 years’ experience as Senior Charge Technologist; 8–10 years total experience with 3–4 years supervisory.
• One year of training in Medical Technology.

Responsibilities

• Supervises daily technical and administrative activities of the Clinical Laboratories department.
• Ensures timely ordering of supplies to prevent test delays.
• Maintains quality control records, equipment maintenance, staff training and safety/incidents records.
• Implements safety regulations and updates procedures in consultation with Department Head and Lab Manager.
• Prepares and updates department manuals/policies; presents quality indicators in QA meetings.
