Tree Top Hospital Maldives is seeking an Assistant Chief Medical Laboratory Technologist to lead and optimize laboratory workflows. The role oversees 24-hour pathology and laboratory services, ensures efficient handling of patient-related matters, and drives improvements in services and risk management.

The candidate should have a strong track record in laboratory operations, managerial leadership, and regulatory knowledge to guide the department and ensure high-quality testing services.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Technology is required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a clinical laboratory.
• Minimum 2 years of progressive laboratory operations and personnel management.
• Registered with a licensing authority.
• Demonstrate managerial and team leadership qualities.

Responsibilities

• Organize, develop, monitor and improve all workflows within the scope of the laboratory and all testing services.
• Oversee the 24 hour operations of pathology and laboratory services.
• Ensure patient-related matters and complaints are handled efficiently.
• Recommend and implement new or improved services or products.
• Ensure risk management and control is in place.
• Inspect unit daily for compliance with policies, procedures, regulations and standards, and take corrective action when violations occur.
• Lead the department in all initiatives by management.
• Responsible for lab equipment and stock management.
• Be proactive, assess root causes and make sound decisions to improve.
