Responsabilités

• Clean entire building including bathrooms, community room, windows, walls, floors, stairwells, laundry rooms, elevators and carpets.
• Empty trash cans and sweep sidewalks.
• Set up hoses, rake lawns and plant flowers; install mulch.
• Remove snow and ice from walkways, parking lots and driveways when needed.
• Clean vacant units and perform other cleaning tasks as assigned by Supervisor.

About The Opportunity

WinnCompanies is looking for a thorough and dedicated Helper C to join our team at Caroline Hedger Apartments, a 450-unit affordable senior housing propertylocated in Chicago, IL.

In this role, you will be responsible for performing cleaning functions in homes and common areas. Please note that this is a union position and will eligible for benefits provided by the union.

The pay for this role is $22.82 per hour.

This opportunity offers the following work schedule: Monday through Friday from 8:00AM-5:00PM.

Additionally, the selected candidate will need to complete Local 1 Union training upon joining the team: this is a union position and will be eligible for benefits provided by the union.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the following, but not limited to: cleaning entire building including, bathrooms, community room, windows, walls, floors, stairwells, laundry rooms, elevators, and carpets; emptying trash cans; sweeping sidewalks; setting up hoses, raking lawns and flower beds, planting flowers, and installing mulch.
• Perform each cleaning function in accordance with the property’s prescribed daily schedule.
• Remove snow and ice from walkways, parking lots, driveways as needed.
• Clean vacant units.
• Perform other cleaning functions as assigned by Supervisor.

Requirements

• Less than 1 year of relevant work experience.
• Ability to understand spoken and written English.
• Ability to respond to requests in a timely and respectful manner.
• Ability to carry and maintain all cleaning supplies necessary for routine functions.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Complete SEIU Local 1 – 10‑Week Janitorial Certification Program upon starting with WinnCompanies

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Prior cleaning experience.
• SEIU Local 1 – 10‑Week Janitorial Certification Program
