Job summary

NJR Home Services, a subsidiary of New Jersey Resources, is seeking a Helper in the Farmingdale, NJ office to assist with installing residential and commercial HVAC equipment and water heaters. The role emphasizes customer service, safety, and attention to detail in a dynamic team environment.

The ideal candidate has HVAC training or apprenticeship, 1–2 years in plumbing/heating, EPA cert is a plus, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• HVAC vocational/technical schooling or journeyman apprenticeship preferred.
• 1-2 years experience in plumbing and heating.
• Experience with sheet metal fabrication, piping and sizing, low voltage wiring and installation of residential HVAC equipment.
• EPA certification is a plus.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills; attention to detail.

NJR Home Services, a subsidiary of New Jersey Resources, is currently seeking a Helper in the Farmingdale, NJ office. Duties consist of assisting with the installation of residential and commercial HVAC equipment and water heaters.

Position Requirements

• Graduate of HVAC vocational or technical school, or participation in a journeyman apprentice program specializing in HVAC or plumbing is preferred.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working for a plumbing and heating company is desired.
• Experience with sheet metal fabrication, piping and sizing, low voltage electric wiring and installation of residential HVAC equipment.
• EPA certification is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record is required.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills as well as attention to detail.

Other Details

Compensation: The base pay for this role is $28.66/hour.

This role will be eligible to participate in a union annual short term incentive program.
