Job summary
NJR Home Services, a subsidiary of New Jersey Resources, is seeking a Helper in the Farmingdale, NJ office to assist with installing residential and commercial HVAC equipment and water heaters. The role emphasizes customer service, safety, and attention to detail in a dynamic team environment.
The ideal candidate has HVAC training or apprenticeship, 1–2 years in plumbing/heating, EPA cert is a plus, and a valid driver's license.
Qualifications
- HVAC vocational/technical schooling or journeyman apprenticeship preferred.
- 1-2 years experience in plumbing and heating.
- Experience with sheet metal fabrication, piping and sizing, low voltage wiring and installation of residential HVAC equipment.
- EPA certification is a plus.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills; attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Assist with installation of residential and commercial HVAC equipment and water heaters.
- Support technicians with materials, prep, and basic installation tasks as needed.
