Responsibilities

Universal Plant Services is looking for a Helper to join our team! Must live in the area of Corpus Christi.

Key Responsibilities

• Machine Support:Assist with the setup, operation, and teardown of milling, turning, drilling, and tapping machines.
• Part Finishing:Deburr, clean, file, and inspect finished parts using hand tools and measuring equipment like calipers.
• Material Handling:Load and unload raw materials and finished parts, including handling heavy items safely.
• Maintenance & Cleanliness:Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including sweeping, taking out trash, and restocking consumables.
• Equipment Care:Perform basic preventative maintenance on machines and assist in lawn maintenance using riding mowers and weed eater.
• Inventory & Logistics:Assist with inventory counts, part tagging, and moving materials between workstations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Mechanical Aptitude:Basic understanding of machinery and comfort using hand tools.
• Physical Stamina:Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy materials.
• Safety Focus:Strict adherence to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements and safety protocols.

Communication:Ability to read and follow work instructions and communicate with machinists.
