Job summary

Global Healthcare Services Inc. is seeking a Helpdesk Technician to join our internal IT team in Austin. You will be the first point of contact for staff IT queries, providing timely remote troubleshooting and basic hardware/software support to keep our nurses and healthcare partners connected.

Ideal candidates have proven helpdesk or desktop support experience, familiarity with PC and Mac systems, and strong communication skills. A CompTIA A+ or Microsoft cert is advantageous but not required.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a helpdesk or desktop support role.
  • Strong knowledge of PC/Mac hardware and software.
  • Experience with remote desktop applications and helpdesk software.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as initial contact for employees seeking technical assistance via phone, email, or ticketing system.
  • Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.
  • Respond to service issues and requests in a timely manner with clear communication.
  • Manage user accounts, including creation, modification, and password resets.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel.
  • Maintain a log of all issues and their resolutions in the helpdesk system.
  • Assist in developing IT documentation and user support guides.

Key Responsibilities

  • Performing remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions.

Qualifications

  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • The ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues efficiently.
  • A patient and professional demeanour when dealing with users of varying technical abilities.
  • A relevant professional certification (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified) would be advantageous but is not essential.
