Job summary

Liberty Bank & Trust seeks a hands-on Helpdesk Support & Desktop Engineer to join its technology team and serve as a key resource for internal employees. The ideal candidate will troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, support hardware and software, manage helpdesk requests, and provide first-level assistance for core banking applications, ensuring systems stay connected and productive.

  • Associate degree or equivalent; or related experience.
  • Strong customer service with excellent communication.
  • Analytical, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Knowledge of Windows OS, AD, networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs).
  • Experience with IT ticketing systems like Track-It.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to all Liberty Bank employees via the Help Desk.
  • Monitor system alerts and coordinate with field technicians to resolve issues.
  • Manage user provisioning in Active Directory and access to Core Banking Applications.
  • Handle new device requests (desktops, laptops, extensions, voicemail).
  • Assist in Security Awareness training for all employees.
  • Maintain Track-It for work orders, inventory, licenses, purchasing and reporting.
  • Maintain and update the Intranet.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

The bank is seeking a Helpdesk Support & Desktop Engineer to join its technology team and serve as a key resource for internal employees. This position is ideal for a hands-on IT professional who can troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, support hardware and software, manage helpdesk requests, and provide first-level assistance for core banking applications. The successful candidate will bring strong problem-solving skills, responsive customer service, and the technical expertise needed to keep the bank’s systems and employees connected and productive.

  • Provide technical support to all Liberty Bank employees via the Help Desk.
  • Monitor system alerts, address outages, or malfunction notifications, and collaborate with field technicians or banking staff to resolve issues.
  • Manage user provisioning and deprovisioning within Active Directory to ensure appropriate network access and secure access to Core Banking Applications.
  • Manage new requests including desktops, laptops, telephone extensions, and voicemail for employees.
  • Assist in conducting Security Awareness training for all employees.
  • Administer and maintain the Track-It application for work orders, solutions, inventory, software licenses, purchasing, and reporting.
  • Maintain and update the Intranet.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Competencies:
  • Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong customer service orientation with excellent verbal and written communication skills; displays courtesy and sensitivity, responds promptly to customer needs, meets commitments, and keeps others adequately informed.
  • Proven analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagram instructions and deal with problems involving several concrete variables.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with strong planning and time management skills; prioritizes and plans work activities, sets goals and objectives, uses time efficiently, and works in an organized manner.
  • Knowledge of computer software, operating systems, hardware, and networking, with proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues; includes Windows, Active Directory, CPUs, RAM, hard drives, peripherals, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, security protocols, and antivirus software.
  • Experience administering IT ticketing systems such as Track-It or similar platforms; demonstrates required technical skills, adapts to new technologies, keeps technical skills up to date, and uses technology to increase productivity.
  • Team-oriented and skilled in working within a collaborative environment, with the ability to demonstrate achievement focus and change management skills, including persistence, overcoming obstacles, recognizing opportunities, building commitment, communicating change effectively, and supporting those affected by change.
