Job summary

Centurum in Charleston, SC seeks a Helpdesk Analyst / System Administrator to support US Navy C4ISR programs. The role includes remote helpdesk tasks for software installations, upgrades, account management, and security oversight, on-site in Charleston.

Requires a Bachelor’s in a related field or commensurate experience, DoD 8570.1/8140 certifications, and a Secret clearance TS eligible. Compensation ranges from $85,000 to $104,000 annually with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Four (4) years of professional experience in systems administration and related daily operations.
• Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and implementing network security tools including firewalls, anti-virus, and IDS.
• Ability to remotely coach users on software, assist customers with IT, and monitor system configuration.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote helpdesk support for US Navy customers to manage software installations, system upgrades, and updates.
• Manage network accounts, network security, and other IT tasks as required.

Job description

Duties and Responsibilities

Centurum is recruiting candidates to fill a Helpdesk Analyst / System Administrator role in support of US Navy C4ISR defense acquisition programs.Duties will include providing remote helpdesk support for US Navy customers to manage the installation of software, systems upgrades, network accounts, network security, and other updates.

Required Skills/Years of Experience

Four (4) years of professional experience in systems administration to include supporting daily operational requirements of computer network systems, including workstation, file servers, or web servers. Individual shall have experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and implementing network security tools including firewalls, anti-virus, and intrusion detection services. Individual must be capable of remotely coaching individuals on software applicable to their position, assisting customers with information technology, monitoring system configuration (hardware and software), and providing instruction on computers and applications.

Required Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems, or commensurate professional experience and technical certifications.

Technical Certifications

• Cybersecurity workforce certification/training in accordance with DoD 8570.1M and subsequent DoD 8140 manual as applicable (typically CompTIA Sec+).
• Types of certifications preferred for the position include Windows, Windows Server, Redhat, VMWare, entry level CCNA

This position is required to have and maintain a Secret US DoD security clearance, TS eligible.

Remarks

Compensation: $85K - $104K annual salary.

Compensation for positions at Centurum vary depending on a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, location, responsibilities, skill set, and level of experience.
