Job summary

Genwest Systems Inc. is hiring a Tier 1 Support Technician to serve as the first line of technical assistance for NOAA OR&R.

The role involves diagnosing hardware, software, and network issues, provisioning IT assets, and maintaining security-compliant infrastructure at NOAA offices in Seattle. The candidate will manage AD access, imaging of computers, and mobile device support, while providing proactive help desk support to ensure uninterrupted scientific operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, or related field.
• 4 years IT helpdesk/tech support experience, preferably in federal or corporate IT.
• Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues (VPNs, remote desktop, Wi‑Fi).
• Experience with Windows 10/11, macOS, Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, and Active Directory.

Responsibilities

• Provide Windows-based help desk support within an Active Directory domain.
• Administer AD users and access controls.
• Image and deploy PCs using PXE booting.
• Support mobile device users (Android/iOS) in government env.
• Support Google Workspace and network printers.
