Job summary

Entarian seeks a Help Desk Specialist to support NOAA NMFS Headquarters. You will be the first point of contact for IT inquiries, supporting Windows 10, Mac OSX, and mobile devices, with incident resolution and reporting responsibilities.

The role involves on-site work in Silver Spring, MD, with responsibilities including security patching, SOP development, and contributing to change control processes. A US citizen or permanent resident is required for facility access.

Qualifications

• BS in information technology, related discipline, or equivalent.
• 2+ years' experience supporting Tier II activities.
• Detail oriented, organized, and timely.
• Ability to work well independently and in a team setting.
• Basic use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PDFs.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier II help desk support and incident resolution.
• Produce routine and ad hoc security artifacts and reports.
• Lead small projects and coordinate with NMFS teams.
• Support Mac workstations and various mobile devices.
