Job summary

Genwest Systems Inc. is seeking a Tier 1 Support Technician to assist NOAA OR&R personnel from Seattle offices. The role focuses on diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues, provisioning IT assets, and maintaining inventory with strict security compliance.

The position requires lifting and moving equipment and passing NOAA background checks. Candidates should have a Bachelor's in IT/CS and 4 years of IT helpdesk experience, plus strong AD, imaging, and mobile device

Qualifications

• The candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree in IT/CS or related field.
• 4 years of IT helpdesk or technical support experience, federal or corporate environment preferred.
• Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues for on-site and remote users.
• Hands-on with Windows/MacOS, Office 365 or Google Workspace, and Active Directory.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1 IT helpdesk support for NOAA OR&R users.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
• Provision and deploy IT assets including mobile devices; manage user access.
• Imaging computers using PXE Boot and assist with device setup.
