Job summary

MULTIVAC USA is seeking an IT Support professional to set up and maintain computer systems and peripherals, provide end-user help desk assistance, and monitor network issues in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires an Associate’s degree in computer science and one year of related experience, plus strong documentation and communication skills for daily operations and policy enforcement.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network connectivity and troubleshoot PC/network issues; report for final resolution.
• Ensure nightly backups for servers and verify backups daily; report inconsistencies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Sets up, installs, maintains, analyzes, troubleshooting, and repairs computer systems, hardware, and computer peripherals. Documents, maintains, upgrades, or replaces hardware and software systems.
• Provides help desk support to end users on a variety of issues. Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems. Responds to telephone calls, emails and personnel requests for technical support. Tracks and monitors issues problem to insure a timely resolution.
• Monitors and troubleshoots PC connectivity and network-related problems. Reports any issues found for final resolution.
• Ensures nightly backups are prepared and completed for servers, ensures correct functioning of all backups daily. Reports any inconsistencies for resolution.
• Ensures adherence to company policies which will includes enforcement of policies, procedures, and proper care as it relates to current and new technology used by company associates (e.g. email/technology policy, approved software on systems, appropriate storage of documents to ensure backups capture associates’ work/data, etc.) including new hire and separation items/checklist.
• Provides recommendations for various user needs, determines priorities for multiple issues, answers user questions, and serves as first point of contact for IT Department.
• Performs minimal phone system setup and trouble shooting.
• Maintains inventory of items (e.g. printer toner, keyboards, and mice)

Education/Experience:

Associate’s degree in computer science and one year related experience.

Language Ability:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively to associates of organization.

Math Ability:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office, notebooks, desktops, printers, and mobile devices. Basic PC maintenance skills are required.

Certificates and Licenses:

Current valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain a passport for travel as required by position.
