Job summary

Grimmway Produce Group is seeking a Help Desk Support Specialist to provide frontline IT support and ensure reliable service across Kern County facilities. You will resolve basic issues for end users and contribute to operational stability on a rotational day/swing shift.

The role requires a high school diploma, 0-2 years IT support, and familiarity with Windows networks. Travel to nearby facilities and independent work are expected; remote work is not available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 0-2 years IT or technical support experience with ticketing systems or ITIL fundamentals.
• Proficiency with computer systems in a Windows network environment; MCP/MCSE or A+ certification required.
• Must be able to follow directions and work independently.
• Must be able to support multiple facilities within the Bakersfield area on a rotational schedule.
• Reading/writing/communication in English required.

LOCATION: KERN COUNTY FACILITIES

SHIFT: ROTATIONAL (DAY/SWING)

Grimmway Produce Group is seeking a Help Desk Support Specialist responsible to provide frontline technical support to ensure reliable and consistent IT service delivery. This role supports end users by resolving basic issues and contributes to operational stability aligned with GPG’s objective of ensuring technology reliability while providing coverage at various locations and shifts as needed. What You Will Need:

• High school diploma, required.
• 0-2 years of IT or technical support experience and ticketing systems or ITIL fundamentals.
• Proficiency with computer systems in a Microsoft Windows network environment, MCP, MCSE, or A+ certified, required.
• Must be able to follow directions and work independently.
• Must be able to support various facilities, approximately 15 miles apart, in the greater Bakersfield area when needed and or support a rotational schedule this includes various worksites for an extended period.
• Assignment could vary from one day to multiple weeks.
• Candidate will be required to live in Kern County area or within commuting distance.
• Must be able to work different shifts as required on rotational basis.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English as required to perform job duties.
• Remote work not available for this position.
• Must have the ability to travel when needed to various Grimmway facilities.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a driving record that meets company policy, insurance, and DMV requirements.
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment screening consistent with applicable state and federal law.

Total Rewards: $24.00 - $27.00 / HOUR

• Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
