Job summary

Grimmway Produce Group is seeking a Help Desk Support Specialist to provide frontline IT support across Kern County facilities and rotating day/swing shifts. You will resolve basic issues, assist end users, and help maintain reliable technology services in a multi-site environment.

Qualified candidates have 0–2 years in IT support, strong English communication, and Windows-based systems knowledge; MCP/MCSE/A+ certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years IT or technical support experience with ticketing systems or ITIL fundamentals.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows environments and basic network concepts.
• Must be able to follow directions, work independently, and communicate effectively in English.
• Must be able to travel to multiple Grimmway facilities within Kern County.

Responsibilities

• Provide frontline help desk support to end users across multiple sites.
• Resolve basic IT issues and document steps in the ticketing system.
• Assist with maintaining reliable IT services and coverage across day/swing shifts.

What You Will Need

• High school diploma, required.
• 0-2 years of IT or technical support experience and ticketing systems or ITIL fundamentals.
• Proficiency with computer systems in a Microsoft Windows network environment, MCP, MCSE, or A+ certified, required.
• Must be able to follow directions and work independently.
• Must be able to support various facilities, approximately 15 miles apart, in the greater Bakersfield area when needed and or support a rotational schedule this includes various worksites for an extended period.
• Assignment could vary from one day to multiple weeks.
• Candidate will be required to live in Kern County area or within commuting distance.
• Must be able to work different shifts as required on rotational basis.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English as required to perform job duties.
• Remote work not available for this position.
• Must have the ability to travel when needed to various Grimmway facilities.
• Must have a valid driver's license and maintain a driving record that meets company policy, insurance, and DMV requirements.
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment screening consistent with applicable state and federal law.

Total Rewards: $24.00 - $27.00 / HOUR

• Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
