Description

In this role you'll serve as a key point of contact for employees experiencing technical issues, helping to keep their work running smoothly. From resolving common software and hardware challenges to setting up new devices and ensuring proper system access, you’ll play a hands-on role in supporting day-to-day IT operations. You’ll document issues, collaborate with support teams, and contribute to continuous improvement of the user support experience, all while delivering responsive, professional service.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for MS Office, Windows 10 and 11, PC hardware and peripherals, printers, internet access, remote access, and third-party applications
  • Triage customer issues, identify root causes, document problems in the Help Desk application, resolve or escalate to the appropriate support level, and follow up to ensure ticket closure and positive customer service experience
  • Demonstrate troubleshooting skills while maintaining high customer service standards when assisting end users
  • Manage asset documentation, replace various hardware types, and coordinate with vendors and service providers for asset/system maintenance
  • Respond to calls from end users requesting computer system assistance, providing first-level support, including desk-side assistance
  • Enter and track all trouble calls in the problem tracking application, promptly follow up with users to ensure problem resolution, and take proactive measures to prevent recurrence
  • Configure, install, and replace end-user hardware and software as required
  • Maintain and operate hardware and software assets
  • Perform additional job duties as assigned

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Associates degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in helpdesk support
  • Proficiency in administering Windows operating systems
  • Experience with troubleshooting hardware and software issues
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Must be willing to work 5 days a week on-site in Windsor Mill, MD
