Plano ISD is seeking a Technology/Help Desk Technician to install and maintain security cameras, provide on-call support, and manage related software. You will work with hardware, software, network applications and telecom accounts, logging issues in the Help Desk system until resolution.

The role requires a high school diploma (CompTIA A+ preferred), plus experience with Windows/Active Directory and solid communication skills for effective user support.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalency is required.
• Post-secondary coursework in related field preferred.
• CompTIA A+ certification preferred.
• Ability to install, configure, and maintain security cameras and software.
• Understanding of Ethernet cabling in commercial environments.
• Knowledge of Windows Active Directory and IT security basics.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driving record suitable for district vehicle use.

Aufgaben

• Safely install, adjust, and maintain security cameras.
• Configure and maintain camera software and network settings.
• Safely use hand and powered tools during installations.
• Maintain inventory of installed hardware and ensure truck supplies.
• Assist with Parent Portal issues via email/phone.
• Handle Help Desk calls, diagnose problems, and log tickets.
• Monitor Help Desk emails/voicemail and escalate as needed.
• Follow district policies and supervisor directions.
