You will review credit, income, assets, and collateral, calculate ratios, and make lending decisions while supporting branch staff and members through the process from application to closing.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of related experience in Loan Underwriting.
• Knowledge of consumer and home equity lending practices.
• Understanding of related legal and regulatory standards, and required loan documentation.
• Ability to adapt to changes in work environment or work process.
• High school diploma or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite HELOC loan applications by reviewing credit, income, assets, liabilities, and collateral.
• Analyze risk, calculate qualifying ratios, and evaluate compensating factors for lending decisions.
• Provide support to branch staff, loan personnel, members, and vendors for timely service.
• Manage loan process from application through closing, including third‑party services.
• Communicate with members, branch staff, title companies, and vendors to obtain outstanding items and monitor pipeline.
