Job summary

Alpinestars is seeking a Helmet Category Manager to drive the NA helmet business. You will partner with Product Development, Sales, and Communications to shape category strategy and maximize revenue, profitability, and market share while preserving the premium brand positioning.

You will translate market insights and customer feedback into product direction, support sales growth, and strengthen distributor/retailer relationships. Travel domestically and internationally as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sports Management or related field.
• 5+ years in category management, product management, sales, or leadership in premium consumer products.
• Strong understanding of wholesale, retail, and distribution networks in US/Canada.
• Ability to translate data into commercial action.
• Excellent presentation, negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and reporting tools; ERP/CRM experience preferred.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute North American helmet category strategy.
• Manage category performance against revenue, margin, and market share objectives.
• Analyze sales trends, demand, inventory, and competition to identify growth opportunities.
• Recommend assortment, lifecycle, pricing, and promotions to optimize performance.
• Provide regular category performance reporting and insights.
• Support regional sales teams, distributors, and key accounts with product training and presentations.
• Assist with season presentations, meetings, and strategic account planning.
• Identify opportunities to increase helmet penetration in existing and new markets.
• Support forecasting and demand planning for inventory management.
• Collaborate with Product Development to relay customer feedback and market trends.
• Work with Communications for launch strategies and promotional campaigns.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain for launches and inventory management.
• Align regional objectives with global category strategy.
• Monitor industry trends and opportunities to expand market share.
• Represent Alpinestars at events when required.
