Job summary

Linde plc in Texas is seeking a Helium Technician to uphold safety and environmental accountability while loading, unloading, and securing helium products per DOT standards.

You will fill liquid and gas helium bulk containers, handle hazardous materials, read P&IDs, issue Safe Work Permits, and work shifts including evenings and weekends, with up to 10% travel. A valid driver's license and ability to relocate within 45 miles are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree is a plus.
• Experience with liquid/gaseous product filling/unloading preferred.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Ability to pass pre-employment physical including drug and alcohol test.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and secure products per DOT standards.
• Fill helium bulk containers to meet specs.
• Handle hazardous materials safely and troubleshoot issues.

Job description

What you will enjoy doing*

• As a Helium Technician you will be commmitted to personal safety and environmental accountability, ensuring adherence to Linde lone worker policies
• Required to load, unload, and secure products in accordance with DOT standards, maintaining professionalism and communicate effectively with operations, logistics, and management
• Fill liquid and gas helium bulk containers to meet quality management system standards, ensuring 100% compliance with customer specifications
• Handle hazardous materials safely and troubleshoot analytical issues, making informed decisions
• Familiar with compression equipment and safely startup/shutdown process equipment as needed
• Issue Safe Work Permits and use LOTO to ensure safe work conditions, while reading and understanding P&IDs and process controls
• You will be required to perform duties under minimal supervision in diverse weather conditions, completing documentation accurately and participating in training programs for compliance

What makes you great

• You have a high School Diploma or equivalent is required; a 2-year associates degree
• Industrial experience with liquid/gaseous product filling/unloading is preferred
• A valid driver license with an acceptable record is necessary
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Email, are required
• You must be able to pass a pre-employment physical, including drug and alcohol test
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential
• You must be willing to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and live or relocate within 45 miles of reporting location
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary, with up to 10% travel required and ability to meet physical demands including frequent lifting of up to 75 pounds
