Job summary

Med-Trans is hiring a Helicopter Pilot to provide essential medical air transportation services. You will work with a team of medical experts to transport patients, ensure aircraft readiness, and maintain regulatory documentation in accordance with FAR and Med-Trans procedures.

The role requires rotorcraft commercial certificate, instrument rating, Class II medical, and substantial flight hours in helicopter operations, with preferred B407 experience.

Qualifications

• Current rotorcraft FAA commercial certificate required.
• Instrument rating required for helicopter operations.
• Current FAA Class II Medical Certificate.
• Minimum flight experience totals as listed in job posting.
• B407 aircraft experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport customers with a team of medical experts.
• Ensure aircraft readiness for flight dispatch per manuals and FAR/Med-Trans requirements.
• Maintain required documentation and records.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, flight crews, facilities, and partners.
• Provide shift change information according to Med-Trans procedures.
• Maintain current certifications and ongoing training.

Responsibilities

• Working with a team of medical experts to safely transport customers to and from locations and facilities.
• Ensure aircraft readiness for flight dispatches as described in the appropriate manuals, including all FAR and Med-Trans requirements, and aircraft cleanliness duties.
• Maintain accurate MTC and regulatory documentation and record keeping.
• Effectively communicate and collaborate with dispatch, flight crews, facilities, and partners.
• Provide shift change information to successive pilot and team following protocol for recording Med-Trans change board details.
• Accountable to maintain required certifications and ongoing training.

Minimum Requirements

• Current Rotorcraft FAA Commercial Certificate.
• Helicopter instrument rating.
• Current FAA Class II Medical Certificate.
• 2,000 Total Flight Hours.
• 1,500 Helicopter Hours.
• 1,000 Helicopter PIC Hours.
• 1,000 Turbine Helicopter Hours.
• 200 Helicopter Night Flight Hours (Aided or Unaided).
