Job summary

Global Medical Response (Med-Trans) is hiring a Helicopter Pilot for full-time HEMS operations. Responsible for safe patient transport, aircraft readiness, and regulatory compliance, you will work with medical teams to deliver critical care flights.

Candidates must hold FAA rotorcraft commercial certificate, helicopter instrument rating, and a Class II medical. A substantial flight hour background is required, with potential for bonus and family-friendly scheduling.

Qualifications

• Current Rotorcraft FAA Commercial Certificate.
• Helicopter instrument rating required.
• Current FAA Class II Medical Certificate.
• 2,000 Total Flight Hours required.
• 1,500 Helicopter Hours minimum.
• 1,000 Helicopter PIC Hours required.
• 1,000 Turbine Helicopter Hours preferred.
• 200 Helicopter Night Flight Hours (Aided or Unaided).
• 200 Helicopter Instrument Hours (Actual/Hood/SIM).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with medical experts to transport patients safely between locations.
• Ensure aircraft readiness for dispatch per manuals, FAR and Med-Trans requirements, plus clean aircraft.
• Maintain Med-Trans and regulatory documentation and records.
• Communicate with dispatch, flight crews, facilities and partners.
• Provide shift-change information to the next pilot following change-board protocols.
• Maintain required certifications and ongoing training.

We’re hiring a Helicopter Pilot to provide medical air transportation services to Med-Trans customers. Safety is a key pillar of our services.

Responsibilities

• Working with a team of medical experts to safely transport customers to and from locations and facilities
• Ensure aircraft readiness for flight dispatches as described in the appropriate manuals, including all FAR and Med-Trans requirements, and aircraft cleanliness duties
• Maintain accurate Med-Trans and regulatory documentation and record keeping
• Effectively communicate and collaborate with dispatch, flight crews, facilities, and partners
• Provide shift change info to successive pilot and team following protocol for recording Med-Trans change board details
• Accountable to maintain required certifications and ongoing training

MinimumRequirements

• Current Rotorcraft FAA Commercial Certificate
• Helicopter instrument rating
• Current FAA Class II Medical Certificate
• 2,000 Total Flight Hours
• 1,500 Helicopter Hours
• 1,000 Helicopter PIC Hours
• 1,000 Turbine Helicopter Hours
• 200 Helicopter Night Flight Hours (Aided or Unaided)
• 200 Helicopter Instrument Hours (Actual/Hood/SIM) 50 Hours Actual WX in Aircraft

Preferred Qualifications

• EC135 Aircraft Experience
• High School Diploma/Equivalent or Higher
• Upload your Pilot License and FAA Medical Certificate
