Job summary

Med-Trans is hiring a Helicopter Pilot to provide medical air transportation services. You will work with a team of medical experts to safely transport patients to and from locations, while maintaining aircraft readiness and compliance with FAR and Med-Trans procedures.

The role requires a rotorcraft FAA Commercial Certificate, helicopter instrument rating, 2000 total flight hours, 1500 helicopter hours, and 1,000 turbine helicopter hours with 200 night and 200 instrument hours.

Qualifications

  • Rotorcraft FAA Commercial Certificate required.
  • Helicopter instrument rating.
  • Current FAA Class II medical certificate.

Responsibilities

  • Transport patients safely with medical team.
  • Ensure aircraft readiness and compliance with FAR and Med-Trans procedures.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records.
  • Communicate with dispatch, flight crews, facilities and partners.
  • Provide shift information to the next pilot following protocol.

Responsibilities
  • Working with a team of medical experts to safely transport customers to and from locations and facilities
  • Ensure aircraft readiness for flight dispatches as described in the appropriate manuals, including all FAR and Med-Trans requirements, and aircraft cleanliness duties
  • Maintain accurate Med-Trans and regulatory documentation and record keeping
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with dispatch, flight crews, facilities, and partners
  • Provide shift change info to successive pilot and team following protocol for recording Med-Trans change board details
  • Accountable to maintain required certifications and ongoing training
Minimum Requirements
  • Current Rotorcraft FAA Commercial Certificate
  • Helicopter instrument rating
  • Current FAA Class II Medical Certificate
  • 2,000 Total Flight Hours
  • 1,500 Helicopter Hours
  • 1,000 Helicopter PIC Hours
  • 1,000 Turbine Helicopter Hours
  • 200 Helicopter Night Flight Hours (Aided or Unaided)
  • 200 Helicopter Instrument Hours (Actual/Hood/SIM) 50 Hours Actual WX in Aircraft
Preferred Qualifications
  • EC135 Aircraft Experience
  • High School Diploma/Equivalent or Higher
