Job summary

Med-Trans Corporation is seeking an experienced HAA Pilot for a full-time role in the Austin area. You will transport customers by helicopter, ensuring aircraft readiness and regulatory compliance, while coordinating with dispatch and flight crews.

The ideal candidate holds a Rotorcraft FAA Commercial Certificate, helicopter instrument rating, and a current FAA Class II Medical Certificate, with substantial helicopter flight hours and PIC experience.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Rotorcraft FAA Commercial Certificate.
• Helicopter instrument rating required.
• Current FAA Class II Medical Certificate required.
• Minimum: 2,000 total flight hours with 1,500 helicopter hours.
• At least 1,000 helicopter PIC hours and 1,000 turbine helicopter hours.
• 200 helicopter night flight hours (aided or unaided).
• Preferred: B407 aircraft experience.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients/customers safely as part of a medical air transport team.
• Ensure aircraft readiness per manuals, FARs, and Med-Trans requirements; maintain aircraft cleanliness.
• Maintain Med-Trans and regulatory documentation and records.
• Coordinate with dispatch, flight crews, facilities, and partners.
• Provide shift-change information to the next pilot and team per change board protocol.
• Maintain required certifications and ongoing training.

• Salary Range: $109,173 - $120,091 including 23% Geographic Modifier
• 15K Sign on Bonus
• Retention Bonus Plans ($40,000 after 3 years plus additional retention bonuses once completed)
• On Duty Housing 7/7 Schedule

Responsibilities

• Working with a team of medical experts to safely transport customers to and from locations and facilities
• Ensure aircraft readiness as described in the appropriate manuals, including all FAR and Med‑Trans requirements, and aircraft cleanliness duties
• Maintain accurate Med‑Trans and regulatory documentation and record keeping
• Effectively communicate and collaborate with dispatch, flight crews, facilities, and partners
• Provide shift change info to successive pilot and team following protocol for recording Med‑Trans change board details
• Accountable to maintain required certifications and ongoing training
