Job summary

United Aero Group (UAG) is seeking an Aircraft Inspector to lead hands-on rotorcraft inspections, ensuring FAA compliance and high-quality, timely returns to service.

Responsibilities include reviewing maintenance records, verifying tools and parts, and collaborating with mechanics and engineers on the shop floor. IA is preferred; 3–5 years rotorcraft inspection experience is expected.

Qualifications

  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License required.
  • Inspection Authorization (IA) preferred.
  • 3–5 years rotorcraft inspection experience.
  • Experience in Part 135/145/91 operations preferred.
  • Knowledge of FAA CFR parts 43, 91, 135, 145.

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled inspections of helicopters per FAA regs and manuals.
  • Ensure compliance with Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, and company policies.
  • Inspect workmanship for quality and adherence to approved data.
  • Review logbooks/maintenance records before release.
  • Verify tooling, calibration, and parts usage during maintenance.
  • Identify discrepancies and unsafe conditions; report non-compliance.
  • Issue maintenance releases and sign airworthiness certificates.
  • Stay current with FAA regulations and manufacturer updates.
  • Support internal audits and FAA inspections as required.
  • Promote safety culture and SMS adherence.
  • Collaborate with mechanics, avionics, and engineers.
