Job summary

HeliService USA is seeking a dedicated Ground Operations Crew Member in Norfolk, VA. The role covers loading/unloading baggage, passenger check-in, PPE handling, and on-site ramp duties for AW-169 helicopters.

You may travel to the Rhode Island headquarters for initial training and must work a full-time, in-person schedule 8:00am-4:00pm with potential shifts. Applicants should live within an hour of Norfolk, demonstrate reliability, and communicate clearly in English.

Qualifications

• Must live within a one-hour commute of Norfolk base.
• Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills required.
• Strong ability to maintain accurate records in company systems.
• Comfortable with technology and quick to learn new software.
• Physically able to lift 70+ pounds and work in varied conditions.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading passenger baggage, freight, and equipment.
• Coordinate ground support with dispatch and flight crew.
• Ensure safety and security compliance per aviation regulations.
• Monitor weather conditions affecting operations.
• Assist passengers with check-in, boarding, and PPE guidance.
• Maintain logs and perform routine pre-flight inspections.
• Keep terminal, hangar, and ramp areas clean and organized.
• Travel to HQ in Rhode Island for initial training.
