Job summary

HeliService USA LLC is seeking a part-time to full-time Ground Operations Crew Member based near Norfolk, Virginia. The role includes loading/unloading cargo, handling passenger check-in, outdoor ramp operations, and daily facility upkeep, with potential travel for training.

A strong emphasis on safety, customer service, and flexible scheduling is required. The position offers hourly pay, non-exempt status, and may transition to full-time as operations scale.

Qualifications

• Must live within a one-hour commute of our Norfolk, Virginia base operations.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Able to push/pull/lift and maneuver heavy luggage/equipment up to 70 pounds.
• Able to work in outdoor airport environment with flexible schedule (nights, weekends, holidays).
• Must read, write and speak English fluently.
• Willingness to undergo background checks and DOT/FAA training as required.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload passenger baggage, freight, and equipment.
• Coordinate ground support with Dispatch & Flight Crew.
• Ensure safety and security compliance with aviation regulations.
• Monitor weather and its impact on flight operations.
• Assist passengers with check-in, baggage checks, and safety briefings.
• Maintain terminal, hangar, and ramp cleanliness and PPE handling.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support operations.
