Transforming Liberty Street into a pedestrian thoroughfare, the market serves as a community gateway for hotel guests and locals alike, inviting the neighborhood in with the smells of freshly brewed Heine Brothers’ coffee, baked bread, and smoked barbecue.

Job Description

Heine Brothers' associates are responsible for maintaining the highest standards possible for the guest by providing quick, efficient, and professional service to ensure satisfaction. Responsibilities include restocking merchandise, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring guest satisfaction. *Must be available to work Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.*

Responsibilities

  1. Knowledge of POS System.
  2. Effective communication with guests and associates.
  3. Listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by co-workers and guests.
  4. Remaining professional in all situations.
  5. Working well under stress and in high-pressure situations.
  6. Adhering to proper uniform and grooming standards.
  7. Assisting with monthly inventory.
  8. Following proper food handling procedures.
  9. Using equipment safely and correctly.
  10. Ensuring beverages are prepared and served according to Heine Brothers' standards.
  11. Seeking ways to improve the guest experience proactively.
  12. Maintaining a clean, neat, and dust-free work area, including cleaning tables, counters, and trashcans daily, and breaking down received merchandise boxes.
  13. Performing other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  1. Minimum 1 year of customer service experience in food/beverage and/or retail; previous coffee house or hotel experience preferred.
  2. Clear and pleasant communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  3. Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally.
  4. Ability to work well with co-workers across departments.
  5. Ability to prioritize and organize guest requests efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Familiarity with all Heine Brothers' products and preparation methods.
  7. Availability to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  8. Food Handler Certification required.
  9. Physical ability to lift, carry, push, pull objects up to 50 pounds, and stand or walk for extended periods.
