Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • 2 years of relevant experience required.
  • Experience in communications, marketing, project management, customer service, programming, event coordination, higher education, association management, nonprofit work, student affairs, financial wellness or financial education.
  • Experience coordinating webinars, virtual events, online trainings, conferences, coaching programs, or digital learning programs.
  • Experience working with volunteers, committees, student workers, or community contributors.
  • Strong writing, project management, customer service, public speaking, organizational and judgment skills.
  • Collaborative, detail-oriented and dependable.
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities and working in a small-team environment.

The Higher Education Financial Wellness Alliance (HEFWA) is anational organization dedicated to advancing financial wellness inhigher education. HEFWA supports institutions, professionals, andpartners working to improve financial wellness outcomes forstudents and campus communities. Through membership, digitalprogramming, resources, events, CashCourse support, and nationalengagement, HEFWA helps elevate the importance of financialwellness across higher education.

Job Summary

The Higher Education Financial Wellness Alliance, known as HEFWA,seeks a full-time Member Engagement and Digital Programs Manager tostrengthen HEFWA's member experience through responsive customerservice, strategic communications, and high-quality digitalprogramming.

Department Specific Responsibilities
  • Manages multiple HEFWA projects from planning throughimplementation, evaluation, and reporting.
  • Works on project areas include member and customer support,communications and marketing, digital programming, membershiprecruitment and retention, CashCourse account management andsupport, volunteer and Directorate coordination, Summit and eventsupport, and data-informed continuous improvement.
  • Serves as the 1st point of contact for prospective and currentHEFWA members, CashCourse users, event participants, and generalexternal inquiries.
  • Works closely with the Executive Director of HEFWA to implementorganizational strategy, improves member engagement, increasesCashCourse awareness and usage, grows HEFWA's national visibility,and supports consistent, high-quality programming.
  • Reports to the Executive Director of HEFWA and is housed withinIndiana University's Office of the Vice President for StudentSuccess, Enrollment and Institutional Effectiveness.
General Responsibilities

Working Conditions / Demands

This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and tooperate a computer and other standard office productivityequipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periodsof time moving around an office environment and the campus. Theperson in this role must be able to perform the essential functionswith or without an accommodation.

This psoition requires some travel is required to support HEFWAevents, conferences, outreach, and external engagement.
