The role focuses on assessing creditworthiness of hedge fund clients, performing due diligence, and preparing written credit approval memos and reviews. You will review trading activity, margins, and transact structures, establish credit exposure appetite across traded products, and maintain updated research on a portfolio of clients.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years relevant experience with market fundamentals in funds space.
• Experience in developed and emerging market transactions preferred.
• Knowledge of traded products including major derivatives and Prime Brokerage.
• Credit/Market risk experience preferred; accounting/finance coursework.
• Understanding of master trading docs: ISDA, GMRA, Futures and Options, and Prime Brokerage agreements.

Responsibilities

• Perform client due diligence and financial analysis and summarize in written credit approval memos and reviews
• Review and approve trading activity, margin requirements and structural enhancements to transactions
• Establish credit exposure appetite across traded products utilizing firm risk models
• Negotiate legal documentation for traded products
• Assess creditworthiness of clients and assign appropriate internal credit ratings
• Maintain updated credit research on a portfolio of clients
• Participate in firm-wide projects
