Job summary

BNY Mellon in New York City is seeking a Senior Specialist to join the Credit Risk team covering Funds and Alternative Managers. You will perform credit due diligence, analyze client financials, and monitor risk exposures to maintain sound credit decisions.

In this role, you will establish credit limits, negotiate credit agreements, and review portfolios for ongoing risk. A finance background with experience in regulated/unregulated funds and strong collaboration across teams is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance or related fields.
• 4-6 years of experience in credit supporting Regulated and Unregulated funds.
• Ability to analyze financial statements.
• Demonstrated understanding of financial markets globally.
• Strong understanding of AI concepts and ability to apply AI to the job function.
• Ability to collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Participating in the negotiation of credit agreements
• Performing ongoing monitoring of clients' financial performance and exposures to BNY
• Reviewing and challenging business proposals
• Assisting in the preparation of portfolio presentations

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
