Job summary

Huntington National Bank is seeking an experienced Corporate Accounting Manager-Sr to support Accounting Policy and Treasury Controller in implementing and maintaining hedge accounting portfolios. You will interact with senior management within Corporate Treasury and provide oversight of accounting, reporting and governance related to hedging activities.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, CPA or CFA, and at least 7 years of accounting experience in capital markets

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting required.
• CPA or CFA certification required.
• Minimum of 7 years accounting experience with capital markets and hedge accounting.
• Minimum of 7 years experience with financial instruments and derivative valuation.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight to hedge accounting process, including valuation, testing, internal controls and governance.
• Assist with hedge accounting research and advise on accounting implications for new/existing relationships.
• Perform prospective and retrospective hedge correlation testing.
• Review hedge accounting documentation and coordinate with external auditors.
• Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly hedge accounting results.
• Oversee month-end reconciliation and close processes for derivatives.
• Initiate process re-engineering to improve efficiency and IT solutions.
• Support ad hoc projects with Corporate Treasury, Corporate Risk, IT and others.
