Job summary

Kenworth Sales Company, a multi-location dealer, is seeking a Service Technician to join the Manassas, VA team. The role involves repairing customer equipment, maintaining high workmanship standards, and advising on service changes as needed.

The position requires 2-3 years in medium/heavy truck repair, VA Inspector certification or pursuit, and a valid CDL or willingness to obtain one. Certifications from PACCAR, Cummins, or CAT are also encouraged.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in medium and/or heavy truck repair and maintenance.
• VA State Inspector certification or willingness to obtain it.
• A valid Class A or B CDL or willingness to obtain one.
• Paccar, Cummins, and CAT Certifications or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Receives repair order assignments from Shop Foreman.
• Performs work in order, timely and thoroughly, maintaining high workmanship standards.
• Advises Shop Foreman of any recommended changes in services ordered by the customer.
• Determines if further repairs should be recommended and communicates to Shop Foreman.
