Akima Global Logistics is seeking a Truck Driver - Heavy to operate heavy vehicles in support of Army equipment and materiel movements. You will comply with DOT, Army, and contract requirements, and ensure proper loading, securing, and documentation for turn-in operations.

The role involves local and long-haul movements, PMCS, and coordination with Army units. A CDL and security clearances are required, with potential on-site training and compliance measures.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• CDL Class A or B required.
• Army OF 346 license preferred.
• HAZMAT endorsement preferred/required for hazmat.
• 3–5 years heavy truck experience; Army/contract logistics preferred.
• Knowledge of Army/government cargo movement preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Operate heavy trucks, tractor-trailers, and flatbeds to transport Army materiel.
• Haul assets from Army units to sites for turn-in operations.
• Load, secure, and unload cargo using chains, binders, straps.
• Perform PMCS and coordinate repairs.
• Maintain driver logs and transport documentation.
• Ensure DOT and Army safety compliance.
• Support mass turn-ins and provide transport updates.
