Job summary

SPATCO is seeking a dependable equipment operator to support field installation projects in Mobile, AL. You will operate heavy equipment to dig ditches and install equipment, and work with concrete, framing and finishing tasks.

Travel to job sites is required and overnight stays may be necessary. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and maintaining clean, organized work areas and vehicles.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in the petroleum industry is a plus.
• Installer certifications in the product line are a plus.
• Equipment operation experience is a plus.
• Strong work ethic is essential.
• Reliable employee with good time management.
• Detail oriented with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment to dig ditches and install equipment.
• Work with concrete, framing, pouring, mixing and finishing.
• Travel to job sites; overnight stays may be required.
• Maintain positive working relationships with crew members, vendors, and sub-contractors.
• Follow all safety practices and company procedures.
• Keep work area and company vehicle clean and organized.

Job description

Essential Functions:

• Using heavy equipment to dig ditches, manually install equipment.
• Work with concreate, framing, pouring, mixing, finishing.
• Traveling to job sites (may require overnights).
• Maintain positive working relationships with crew members, vendors, suppliers, and sub-contractors to maintain a timely flow of supplies, materials and sub-contractor work.
• Ensure all safe work practices are followed at all times.
• Ensure safe housekeeping practices are followed at all times, including job cleanup at the end of each day.

Experience, Competencies and Education

• High school diploma or, GED
• Experience in the petroleum industry and product familiarity is a plus.
• Installer certifications in the product line are a plus.
• Equipment operation experience is a plus
• Strong work ethic

Requirements

• Ability to lift 75 –100 lbs when necessary during the course of performing their necessary duties.
• Work outside during all types of weather.
• Work under time constraints efficiently and have the ability to work well with others.

• Keep company vehicle clean and maintained.
