Job summary

IES Commercial, Inc. – DBA IES Electrical in Lithia Springs, GA seeks a full-time Equipment Operator to move and position heavy construction materials using forklifts, telehandlers, and other equipment.

You will support site teams and ensure safe, efficient material handling. Responsibilities include inspecting equipment, securing loads, coordinating with crews, following OSHA standards, and reading blueprints or maps as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid forklift certification or heavy machinery operator license.
• 3 years' experience operating forklifts, tele handlers, and other construction equipment in a commercial or industrial setting.
• Experience on electrical data center projects is a plus.
• Strong understanding of construction site safety and OSHA standards.
• Ability to read and follow site maps, blueprints, and material handling instructions.
• Ability to lift various heavy material weights and work in varying environmental conditions.
• Pass pre-employment (post offer) background check and MVR check.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts, tele handlers, loaders, and other heavy machinery to move and position materials and equipment.
• Transport electrical components, tools, and materials to designated areas across the project site.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance to keep machinery in good condition.
• Assist with loading and unloading of trucks and securing materials.
• Collaborate with construction teams to meet deadlines and support project phases.
• Follow safety protocols and OSHA standards to maintain a safe work environment.
• Assist with general construction tasks as required by site supervisors.
