Job summary

Jaguar Land Rover Birmingham, part of the Sonic Automotive family, seeks an experienced Heavy Line Automotive Technician. You will tackle complex engine and drivetrain repairs, use factory diagnostics, and work with a collaborative team to ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of automotive repair experience, heavy mechanical repairs preferred.
• High CSI is a must.
• ASE or manufacturer training.
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Authorized to work in the USA.
• Able to pass pre-employment testing: background, MVR, drug test.

Responsibilities

• Remove and repair complex mechanical concerns involving engines, transmissions, and drivetrain systems.
• Perform major engine repairs, including timing components, heads, and complete engine replacements.
• Perform transmission, transfer case, differential, and driveline repairs and replacements.
• Use factory diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve vehicle concerns.
• Follow manufacturer procedures and maintain high workmanship standards.
• Perform diagnostics on mechanical and minor electrical systems.
• Complete repairs efficiently with high quality and attention to detail.
• Collaborate with service advisors, technicians, and management for a positive customer experience.
