Job summary

Jaguar Land Rover Birmingham, part of the Sonic Automotive family, is seeking a Heavy Line Automotive Technician to service premium vehicles. This full-time role offers a dynamic shop environment and opportunities to work with advanced systems.

You will diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, and driveline components, using factory tools, and collaborate with advisors to deliver a superior customer experience. ASE or factory training is preferred, with strong emphasis on quality and safety.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of automotive repair experience preferred.
• Strong background in heavy mechanical repairs.
• Ability to pass pre-employment testing including background checks and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Remove and repair complex mechanical concerns involving engines, transmissions, and drivetrains.
• Perform major engine repairs including timing components and cylinder heads.
• Repair and replace transmissions, transfer cases, differentials, and driveline components.
• Utilize factory diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve vehicle concerns.
• Collaborate with service advisors and management to ensure a positive customer experience.
