Job description

Top-notch cafeteria in a healthcare environment seeking heavy lifting porters and kitchen staff to ensure high standards of cleanliness and maintenance of the cafeteria environment. Varies duties include washing large pots and pans, lifting up to 50 lbs, deep cleaning work surfaces, walls, and floors, emptying waste bins, and supporting all kitchen staff and management as needed. These are full-time positions where good attendance is essential. Weekend and holiday work are required. The shift is from 12:30 PM to 9:00 PM, including weekends. The hourly rate is $14.00. We are looking for career-minded individuals.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high standards of cleanliness and maintenance of kitchen areas and equipment throughout service.
• Collect and wash all pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment, lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Deep clean work surfaces, walls, and floors, ensuring they are clean and sanitized at all times.
• Manage the emptying of waste bins and recycling in the kitchen.
• Support all kitchen staff and management as needed.

Essential Functions

• Manual lifting up to 50 lbs
• Standing for 8 hours at a time
• Working up to 3 hours of overtime per week
• Working on weekends
