Job summary

Barnhart Energy Company seeks a Project Sales Technician to provide technical support for complex lifting, rigging and heavy transportation projects. You will conduct site evaluations, develop lift plans, validate requirements and design safe solutions.

This role blends field and office work with local and regional travel, requiring strong problem-solving and teamwork across Sales, Engineering and Operations to deliver safe, practical lifting plans.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years in crane and rigging, heavy lift, construction or related field.
• Experience developing lift plans and technical documentation.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational and communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and technical software.
• Willingness to travel locally and regionally.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site visits and assess scope, site conditions and equipment needs.
• Develop lift plans and technical docs to support planning.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering and operations on safe lifting solutions.
• Identify risks and support planning for successful execution.
• Contribute input for estimates, scheduling and resource planning.
• Prepare project details for proposals and presentations.
• Coordinate with field teams to align plans with resources.
• Maintain accurate project docs and site assessments.
• Participate in customer meetings as a technical resource.
• Promote safety throughout planning and execution.
