Job summary

Barnhart Energy Company, a sister company of Barnhart Crane and Rigging, seeks a Project Engineer to support heavy lifting and rigging projects. The role focuses on field assessments and technical problem solving in collaboration with the project team.

The engineer will gain experience with autoCAD-based layouts, equipment capabilities, and risk management to ensure safe, efficient project execution and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience working with field layouts and heavy lifting projects is preferred.
• Ability to understand rigging concepts and safety considerations.

Responsibilities

• Perform field walk down assessments of jobsites to facilitate office layouts of jobs in AutoCAD to perform heavy lifts / transports.
• Obtain working knowledge of Barnhart heavy lift and specialty rigging equipment to be able to provide solutions to customer needs.
• Perform minor design calculations and develop details under the direction of a senior design engineer.
• Function as technical liaison for critical lifts – includes risk management functions and safety evaluations of projects.
