Job summary

Schaefer Plastics North America, LLC seeks a Machine Attendant – Heavy in Charlotte, NC to support daily production by trimming, inspecting, assembling, and preparing plastic products such as tubs and waste containers. This hands-on role requires attention to detail and adherence to safety and quality standards.

You will follow standard work instructions, log inspections, assist with first-piece checks, and help train new employees.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
• Injection molding experience is helpful but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Trim flash and remove sprue from molded parts.
• Hot stamp, imprint, assemble, and finish products per order specs.
• Inspect parts for quality throughout the shift.
• Document inspections every 30 minutes or as directed.
• Assist with first-piece inspections and escalate non-conformities.
• Adjust in Plantstar system for rejects or production activity.
• Complete all required documentation and quality processes on time.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow safety procedures, work instructions, quality standards, and policies.
• Assist with training new employees as needed.
• Demonstrate reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
